Gentle Resources to Calm, Connect & Create

Pip The Plover Book

Follow a tiny shorebird with a very big message.

Pip the Plover and the Dune Grass Path is a story about courage, belonging, and finding your safe place in a busy world. Written for kids, but often just as healing for the adults reading aloud.

Hi, I'm Kate Powers! An Author, Artist & Special Education Teacher.

I’m Kate Powers — an author, educator, and alignment coach who believes rebuilding should feel human, not heroic.

My work sits at the intersection of three things I know by heart: raising neurodivergent kids, recovering from survival mode, and using creativity as a way back to ourselves.

Through picture books like Little Dragon Learns to Wait and Pip the Plover and the Dune Grass Path, guided journals like Stop Existing, Start Living and A Garden of Gratitude, and gentle coaching spaces like Women Who Rebuilt, I help women and families find practical tools that also feel like a warm hug.

Whether you’re parenting a sensitive child, navigating your own big feelings, or quietly rebuilding after a hard season, you’re welcome here. This isn’t a system to keep up with. It’s a body of work you can return to at your own pace.
